Swim School

The Sports Centre Swim School provides for all ages and abilities.
Parent and baby classes are available for babies 4 months to 3 years old in the Little Fishes Swim School.
Children up to 16 years are catered for in the Dolphin Swim School. Adults have their own set of classes.
Enrolment is on a continuous basis with payments being made monthly by direct debit over 11 months.
All Swim School members are entitled to free public swimming in appropriate sessions.
Little Fishes
Membership includes 39 lessons per year. Payment is made by direct debit for 11 months with no payment being made in August.
Dolphin
The Dolphin Swim School is designed for children between 3 and 16 years of age.
Lessons run for 45 weeks per year. Payment is made by direct debit for 11 months, and classes run every day of the week.
Advanced Classes
Classes are run for children who want to try different water based activities, or to further competitive swimming skills. At present we offer;
- Personal Survival
- Lifesavers (see link opposite)
- Snorkelling
- Synchronised swimming

Awards
We follow the ASA's National Plan for teaching swimming and our levels are based on these awards. We also use the whole range of awards for distance swimming, speed swimming and other disciplines.
Private Lessons
We are offering private lessons for all swimmers, any ability and any age.
All private lessons are 30 minutes long, although one-hour lessons are available if requested.
Private lessons take place at a time that suits both the teacher and the swimmer.
24 hours notice must be given if cancelling a private lesson (this must be cancelled through the
teacher directly). If 24 hours notice is not given, then the lesson will be charged for.
Private lessons may be paid for in single lessons or in blocks.
